Gladstone State High School P&C Association are a group of parents (and citizens) committed to working with the Principal and staff to help our children get the best education possible. We are kept informed by the principal of what is going on in the school (initiatives, challenges and highlights) and we provide feedback and support to the principal as well.
We are governed by a Constitution and are members of Parents and Citizens’ Queensland (P&Cs Qld).
Overview and Meetings
We meet on the 4th Monday night of every month from February to November (excluding holidays) in C block from 5.30pm. We discuss reports and make decisions on proposals brought to the committee. Considerable communication takes place during the month via e-mail in order to expedite meetings.
P & C Executive
Our P&C executive includes a president, vice-president (x2), secretary (x2, minutes and correspondence) and treasurer. It is empowered to make decisions that arise between meetings. That decision is then reported to the next general P&C meeting. In addition to our executive, we have representatives who support the Gladstone Chaplaincy Committee and P&Cs Qld.
President: Megan Ellis
Vice-Presidents: Tarron Stewart, Janenne Suter
Treasurer: Bev Wells, Assistant Treasurer: Kate Frost
Secretaries: Kim Bedwell, Dana McGregor
Become A Member
We welcome all new members as you bring experience and knowledge with you. Our membership constantly fluctuates with students entering and leaving the school.
Apart from the Annual General Meeting, a person may become a member any time during the year. All you have to do is attend a meeting, fill in a form. At the end of the meeting the P&C votes on the application. Successful applicants have full membership and voting rights from the next P&C meeting.
